About the Role:
We are looking for a System Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer – Mechanical Systems responsible for planning and executing verification and validation activities for mechanical systems of the Sarla Aviation eVTOL aircraft.
The role focuses on ensuring that mechanical system requirements are verified through analysis, inspection, ground testing, and flight testing. The engineer will work closely with structures, propulsion, and systems teams to support system integration and ensure compliance with program and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain verification strategies and verification plans for mechanical system requirements.
- Develop verification methods and test cases including analysis, inspection, simulation, and physical testing.
- Support development of test environments and ground test setups for airframe, structural, mechanical, and propulsion-related systems.
- Work with subsystem teams to ensure verification readiness and requirements traceability.
- Support system integration, ground testing, and flight testing activities for mechanical systems.
- Analyse test results and ensure verification evidence is captured and documented.
- Identify verification risks, gaps, and issues and support resolution during integration and testing.
- Contribute to verification reports, compliance documentation, and certification artifacts.
- Collaborate with systems engineering and safety teams to ensure system performance and regulatory compliance.
Typical Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 6-8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in systems engineering or V&V activities for aerospace mechanical systems.
- Understanding of verification methods such as analysis, inspection, simulation, and testing.
- Experience supporting ground testing, structural testing, or system integration activities.
- Experience with requirements management and verification tracking tools.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment within a fast-paced program.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of aerospace system development standards such as ARP4754B.
- Familiarity with standards such as DO-160, ARP4761A etc..
- Experience supporting structural verification, loads testing, environmental testing, or propulsion integration testing.
- Knowledge of certification processes with FAA, EASA, DGCA, or CEMILAC.
- Experience working with System Engineering tools (Polarion, Teamcenter) and simulation tools (MATLAB, Python, or similar).
- Understanding of configuration management and compliance documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for system integration and verification challenges.
