About Sarla Aviation:
We’re building India’s first electric air taxi — reimagining urban mobility from the ground up. Every day at Sarla is a mix of engineering breakthroughs, flight tests, and the grind of building something that’s never existed here before. We want someone to capture all of it.
About The Role:
You’ll join our creative team as a full-time videographer, working alongside them on ideation and execution. Your main job is to document Sarla’s journey — creatively, consistently, and with an eye for the moments that matter. That means always shooting, always looking, and finding the frames no one else would think to capture.
You’ll also help shoot content for our Instagram and social channels, but this isn’t primarily a social content role — we want a storyteller first, who happens to also feed the socials.
Expect early mornings at test sites, long days on the hangar floor, and the occasional scramble to capture something that’s only going to happen once.
What you’ll do:
- Document flight tests, prototyping, and engineering milestones across our locations
- Capture the people and culture at Sarla — founders, engineers, technicians, the whole crew
- Keep shooting, keep looking — find the unscripted, interesting moments that tell our story
- Shoot content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube alongside the creative team
- Plan and execute indoor shoots with proper lighting setups (interviews, product shots, hangar pieces)
- Manage footage and keep our archive organized
What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with high-end cinema cameras (like Sony FX)
- Solid understanding of lighting — you can walk into a hangar or office and build a clean indoor setup from scratch
- An eye for story — you don’t just shoot what’s in front of you, you find the moment
- Comfortable traveling to and staying at offsite locations for extended shoots — flight test days and site visits often mean multiple days away from home base
- Comfortable working in dynamic, sometimes unpredictable environments (flight test days aren’t scripted)
Bonus points:
- You already own some of your own kit (camera, lenses, lights, gimbal, drone)
- Drone piloting experience (DGCA certification is a plus)
- Background shooting documentary, industrial, or aviation/automotive content
- Photography skills alongside video
- Editing (Premiere / DaVinci / FCP)
