About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Software Developer with hands-on experience in Python, socket programming, communication protocols, and real-time embedded systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to building reliable, high-performance software solutions for hardware-software integration projects, protocol gateways, and network communication systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based software for embedded and networked systems.
- Implement and manage communication interfaces using USB, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP protocols.
- Build and optimize multi-threaded applications for real-time data acquisition, processing, and transmission.
- Develop protocol conversion and gateway layers to bridge communication between embedded hardware and network applications.
- Implement packet validation, CRC/checksum verification, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, and system diagnostics across hardware-software interfaces.
- Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams for system integration and protocol validation.
- Document design decisions, architecture, and test procedures clearly and concisely.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech in Software Development, Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python programming for systems and network applications.
- Solid understanding of socket programming – UDP and TCP/IP.
- Experience with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet.
- Familiarity with multithreading, concurrency, and OS-level concepts.
- Knowledge of real-time systems, interrupt-driven design, and circular buffer management.
- Understanding of data integrity mechanisms: CRC, checksum, frame validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi or similar single-board computers (SBC).
- Exposure to OS multithreading concepts.
- Experience building or integrating protocol gateway or bridging systems.
