About Sarla Aviation
Sarla Aviation is not just an aerospace startup; we are pioneers in the sky, dedicated to revolutionizing urban air mobility with our electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft — Shunya, India's electric air taxi, designed and engineered in Bengaluru. Join us in our quest to transform the future of flight. As part of our team, you will not just take on challenges; you will push the boundaries of engineering, technology, and storytelling, working towards something that has never been.

Who We're Looking For
No, we're not looking for a “social media intern.” We're looking for a movement builder. Someone who doesn't just grow channels, but makes a generation pay attention. You're not here to sell air taxis. You're here to invite people to join the future of India — to show people a nation that's faster, freer, more inspired, and to make everyone believe that building with Sarla is how we get there. But here's the thing about movements: they're not built in brainstorms. They're built in the daily grind — finding the story, planning the shoot, hitting publish, answering the comments, doing it again tomorrow. We need someone who burns with the vision and shows up for the grind.

Why This Role Matters
Sarla is a national identity project. We see ourselves as the Indian cricket team but for the future — giving people pride, purpose, and something bigger to be part of. From IIT engineers to art school designers, we want every young Indian to dream of building the future with us. And the raw material for that movement is already here: engineers solving problems no one in India has solved before, partnerships being signed, hardware coming to life. Nobody outside these walls knows about it yet. Your job is to change that.

What You'll Do
  • Find the stories
  • Be the most outgoing person in the building. Everyone here is heads-down building, so the stories won't come to you — talk to engineers, designers, and people across every department to find out what's happening.
  • Sit with engineers to understand their work and turn it into stories worth documenting. The people building this aircraft are the movement.
  • Keep track of every MOU and partnership being signed, and make sure each one gets told properly on our channels.
  • Cover key moments as they happen: investor visits, demo days, airshows, leadership talks, milestone events.
  • Develop a genuine obsession with the technology. You'll be covering the development of an eVTOL aircraft — you need to understand what we're building and be eager to follow every step of progress. If the tech doesn't excite you, this role isn't for you.
  • Plan and produce the content
  • Own and maintain a strict content calendar — for yourself and everyone contributing to it. Everything is pre-planned: what's being shot, when, by whom, and when it goes live. Movements look spontaneous; they're not. We don't scramble, we execute.
  • Come up with content ideas, write scripts, and build shoot plans detailed enough that the creative team — videographer, editor, 3D artist — can plug in and contribute.
  • Coordinate shoots end to end: lock dates, brief everyone involved, make sure people show up where they need to be.
  • Shoot content yourself on a phone when needed. You can't be precious about waiting for a full crew when a moment is happening right now.
  • Maintain an organized archive of everything we shoot. The footage from these early days will be priceless — make sure it's saved, labelled, and findable.
  • Build the movement, channel by channel
  • Own our presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Each platform has its own language, formats, and algorithm — you know what works where, and you grow each channel on its own terms, not by cross-posting the same thing everywhere.
  • Manage our community: reply to comments and DMs, engage with the aerospace and startup conversation online. Movements are conversations — channels die when nobody answers.
  • Build our founders' presence online, not just the brand's. Plan, produce, and manage content for their personal profiles — movements have faces, and a huge part of our reach comes through them.
  • Be metrics-obsessed: work towards clear weekly, monthly, and yearly targets for posting cadence, follower growth, engagement, and reach. Know your numbers, own your numbers, beat your numbers.

What We Expect
  • Insane drive. You're on a mission, not at a job.
  • Mad ideas, executed with logic. Data + chaos = our native language. The calendar is strict; the ideas don't have to be.
  • You write well. Captions, scripts, and posts in the brand's voice (and the founders'), without needing someone to clean it up.
  • A planner's discipline. You can run a strict content calendar and coordinate shoots involving multiple people without things falling apart.
  • Deep aesthetic sensibility. You know when something is “off.” You know how to fix it. This is a brand-and-narrative-first company, because it's a movement, not a company.
  • Extreme ownership. You don't need to be managed. Comfortable on camera. You can host, do a voiceover, or appear in a reel when the format calls for it.

What We Want to See
  • You've built something viral or beautiful (show us).
  • You've run social media not just to grow, but to lead.
  • You think India is on the cusp of a transformation, and want to drive that change.
  • You get why building air taxis is not about boring old aircraft stuff, but about India leapfrogging the world.
  • Bonus: working knowledge of Photoshop or other design/editing tools.

What Success Looks Like
  • The whole country knows what's being built inside Sarla — because you told them.
  • Engineers come to you with stories, because they've seen what you do with them.
  • Weekly, monthly, and yearly targets aren't just met — you set them, track them, and beat them.
  • Our channels — and our founders' — exploding not just with views, but with meaningful momentum.
  • We want to feel intimidated by the size of your vision but have zero doubt in your ability to deliver it.

Join Us If
You always wanted to start a revolution, actually. You want to use social media to mobilize a generation — and you're willing to do the unglamorous daily work that makes a revolution look effortless.
